Northwood – ‘Point House’

Working on a fixed lump sum contract, Capital gave new life to an existing family home set in a beautiful location surrounded by water views. Stripping out the internal structure of the existing family home and retaining the external walls allowed us to provide value for money for the client whilst still completely opening up and re-vamp the feel of the home that they already knew and loved.

Capital inserted new suspended concrete floors at every level of the existing structure, excavated a new pool entirely out of rock and remediated and waterproofed the existing basement to provide extra bedrooms to the large family home for the clients growing children. We also carried out extensive hard and soft landscaping to the perimeter of the property to better site the building into the surrounding.

A feature winding staircase of timber clad concrete and bespoke custom ironwork to the balustrading required Capital to seek the services of sub-contractors out of Sydney to find someone who could get the job done. Despite the challenges of this and the extra level of organisation required, Capital rose to the occasion and got the job done to the satisfaction of all.

We have since gone on to work with the architect again on in a highly successful relationship. We have also repeatedly been asked back to both this house and the client’s other properties for ongoing additions and extra work they have requested to be done.
